Cognitive Assessments: These assessments measure intellectual abilities and cognitive functioning, providing insight into potential learning difficulties and intellectual disabilities. Cognitive assessments help guide tailored education plans, workplace adjustments, and treatment recommendations. Dr Nicholas Harris has access to the following cognitive assessment tools:
WPPSI-IV (for 2.5 to 7.5 year old clients)
WISC-V (for 6-17 years)
WAIS-IV (for 16-90 years)
WIAT-III (for 4-51 years)
WMS-IV (for 16-90 years)
ADHD Assessments: ​Neuroaffirming ADHD assessments by Dr Nicholas Harris involve a combination of interviews, standardised questionnaires, and executive function tests. For primary aged clients, a school observation may also be conducted. The assessment evaluates attention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity, assisting in the diagnosis and subsequent recommendations. ADHD assessments can be conducted for both children and adults. 
Autism Assessments: Neuroaffirming autism assessments by Dr Nicholas Harris involve a combination of interviews, standardised questionnaires, and executive function tests. For primary aged clients, a school observation may also be conducted. The assessment evaluates social skills, communication skills, and behaviours, assisting in the diagnosis and subsequent recommendations. Autism assessments can be conducted for both children and adults. 

What is involved in the assessment?


Cognitive Assessments may involve the following:​
  • An initial appointment to understand the background
  • A 2 hour cognitive assessment (the test will vary with the age of the client)
  • A 2 hour achievement assessment (WIAT-III)
  • Informant completed questionnaires, sent to parents and teachers
  • A feedback session to understand the assessment results and outcome
  • A written report

ADHD Assessments may involve the following: 
  • An initial appointment to understand the background
  • An assessment of executive functioning
  • A 2 hour diagnostic interview
  • A 1.5-2 hour school observation (if the client is in primary school)
  • Informant completed questionnaires, sent to parents and teachers
  • A feedback session to understand the assessment results and outcome
  • A written report

Autism Assessments may involve the following: 
  • An initial appointment to understand the background
  • An assessment of executive functioning
  • A 2 hour neuroaffirming diagnostic interview
  • A 2 hour observation and interaction task (if the client is a child)
  • A 1.5-2 hour school observation (if the client is in primary school)
  • Informant completed questionnaires, sent to parents and teachers
  • A feedback session to understand the assessment results and outcome
  • A written report
